The Cowboy, Collectible Book

The author's goal was to provide reliable facts related to the cowboy and his life so that the movie cowboy that started to become popular around this time would not besmirch the real cowboys' reputation. Philip Ashton Rollins lived in the West between 1892 and 1924 where he witnessed first hand and chronicled the character of the cowboy, his work, weapons, clothing, saddles and other tack and equipment. He describes the history of ranching in the United States, how horses and cattle were raised at that time and cattle rustling.
