We've seen seals like this that are flat and perfect on bags that we KNOW are authentic. This one says
"Dooney & Bourke All-Weather Leather TM"

Now, the seals on most authentic bags say
"Dooney & Bourke All-Weather Leather R"

When someone applies for a Registered Trademark, while they are waiting for the trademark to be approved by the US Government, they must use the symbol "TM" to show that the trademark application has been made. Then when the trademark is granted, the company substitutes an R for the TM. This is what makes us think this could be a very old, prototype bag. Yet, it is in almost new condition. You decide.

Dooney and Bourke All-Weather Hand Bag
This burgundy bag is in super condition and it looks and feels like a real Dooney & Bourke bag to us, but unfortunately it is missing the brass FOB and it does not have a sewn in tag.

We've seen a double adjustable shoulder strap attachment like this on other bags that we know are authentic Dooney and Bourke - they are very old bags that have the original large square green cloth Dooney and Bourke sewn-in tag.
This bag has no sewn-in tag.

This bag does have the words "Solid Brass" stamped on the hardware and a Dooney & Bourke seal on the back (see the comments about it by its photo).

We are unable to verify absolutely that this bag is authentic Dooney & Bourke so we are selling it as a grab bag. Please buy it for its great condition and color at the very low price we have it listed at. It might be a very early Dooney bag which would be highly collectible and at a great price or it could possibly be a copy made with very nice leather and in very good condition, so it is still a good price for the bag!

This might very well be a vintage bag that was made before Dooney & Bourke began attaching "Made in the USA" tags with serial numbers.
