From Apache Artist Cynthia Whitehawk MY MISSION - We are thankful and honored to be able to respect the Spirits of the plants, animals and Mother Earths elements who give themselves and continue their life as healing tools for us. We offer these tools for Spiritual expression, to be in balance with Mother Earth and one's self.
RATTLES - To First Nations people, shakers or rattles represent rain (for Prayers of abundance & prosperity) and tears, especially those of emotional release. Tears of joy signifying when the mind, body, soul & Spirit connect. Ceremonially, rattles are used in cleansing and purifying, Spiritual guidance work, Celebration and in thanks and respect to Ancestral Spirits. TURTLE MEDICINE - The Turtle is the nurturer, protector, Mother Energy, Mother Earth. The Turtle's medicine includes connection with the Great Spirit, journeys of discovery, patience, feminine strength, power to heal female diseases, inspiration, protecting oneself & others, self-reliance, & tenacity. DRAGONFLY - Spiritually embodies the stripping away all negativity that holds us back, helping us to achieve our dreams & goals. Reminds us that anything is possible & is the keeper of dreams, the energy within that sees all of our true potential and ability. Dragonfly inspires Spiritually & Creatively, helps on the path of discovery and enlightenment. CROW/RAVEN - Raven and Crow are very similar in their strengths: both carry great responsibility to Spirit and are the messengers of magic and healing from the universe where all knowledge waits for us. They also symbolize changes in consciousness, of levels of awareness and perception. Shamans, Spiritualists & Healers with Raven/Crow Medicine are able to use their gifts with deeper clarity, understanding & insight, developing greater power & skill in their abilities. MORNING STAR - Infinite possibilities, Hope, Renewal, sign for Venus, also the Goddess. Honored as a sign of courage and purity of Spirit. The Ghost Dance Religion saw it as a symbol of the coming renewal of tradition, re-birth of the ancient ways of living with Mother Earth. HORSE - The Horse Spirit inspires our dreams, awakens passion, carries us far and fast, and brings us close to our instinctual and authentic nature. Horse enables us to move beyond our limitations and run freely. Spirit or Medicine Horses were and are extremely helpful in guidance, healing, protection and ceremony. Horse represents wisdom, physical power and unearthly power. Horse enables healers to travel in Spirit energy, using Horse to help guide them to the answer. Horses are symbols that can express our magical side. Horses are also known as symbols of Freedom & independence. The Medicine Wheel - The Medicine Wheel represents American Indian Spirituality - the journey each individual must take to find his or her path. The Medicine Wheel is based on the four cardinal directions and the four sacred colors. A circle represents life; at the center of the circle is the eternal fire. |
