Carved from a creamy piece of Serpentine, this bear is very well formed.
He is sturdy and strong.
He has wonderful inlaid turquoise eyes and a medicine bundle of a Mother of Pearl arrowhead topped with a turquoise nugget.

What is a Fetish? A fetish is a rock carving of an animal that captures the spirit and the essence of the animal, not necessarily its exact detailed conformation. A double fetish represents relationship and unity. Read more about fetishes.
Bear. The bear is a symbol of strength and deliberate action, introspection, soul and insight for the past and the future.
Medicine Bundle. Many fetishes have a medicine bundle, offering bundle, or adornment tied on the back of the animal that can consists of coral seed beads, shell heishi, feathers and other stone pieces. These may be used as an offering to the fetish, to evoke the spirit of the fetish or to increase the strength of a fetish.
Serpentine.
A gemrock with wide diversity in color and character. From green to yellow, with
browns, blues and whites. Can be bi-colored, streaked, mottled, banded or spotted.
It is said to help one find inner peace, calmness, and a long life. It instills
in the bearer a respect for the elderly. It can ward off snake bites.
