According to Hallmarks of the Southwest by Barton Wright, there are over two pages of Native American artists that use the Chavez hallmark, however, none were found with the unusual L treatment.

The Chavez artists included Navajo, Hopi, Zuni, Santo Domingo, and San Felipe Indians.
We were unable to positively identify this artist so we call these Native American.
