set is a very wearable set in terms of length and weight. It is made on a medium

The inner circumference is the equivalent fit of a 19" necklace with a 2" naja center piece (pendant). When laid out flat, with side pieces next to each other, it measures 9 1/2" down the center from the clasp to the bottom of the naja. The L in the hallmark is larger and this often means it is the last name and the other two initials indicate the first names of two people, usually a man and wife couple, who worked on the piece. We've seen this done with the Leekity hallmarks, for example. However, at this time we are unable to determine who the hallmark belongs to. If you know, please contact Paula at

We recently purchased items from the personal Native American jewelry collection of a Lumbee-Cheraw woman. The Lumbee-Cheraw tribe is from North Carolina. She received these pieces from 1989-2002 as gifts for various accomplishments such as scholarship, graduation and promotions. Some pieces are from that era and some are from much earlier - the 1960s and 70s. She understood that all of the pieces were Native American made and were Sterling Silver. She provided us with a few artists' names. Others we recognized and researched using our experience and our Native American references. As always, we will tell you as much as we know for certain and suggest possible artists when the artist is unknown. Enjoy browsing this varied and beautiful group. |
