G&L LEEKITY

This hallmark belongs to Zuni artists, George and Lupeta Leekity.

They are Zuni silversmiths, lapidarists and goldsmiths. They specialize in cast work with stone settings based on the designs of Lupeta’s father, the famous Horace Iule.

Most of the crosses are made by Lupeta but she and her husband George share the same stamp. Lupeta's parents are Horace and Lupe Iule and her brother is Phillip Iule.

Lupeta began creating jewelry in 1972 and started using this hallmark in 1977.
