Dry Creek Turquoise (Battle Mountain, Nevada) has a very pale blue color because there is very little copper or iron in the ground where it forms. Stones from the same mine that are white, with no blue or green color, are called Sacred Buffalo Stone or White Buffalo Stone because the white buffalo is a very rare and sacred buffalo.
