Paula
says: "These would make a great item for a collector, rendezvous enthusiast
or to use in innovative ways such as to pass a secret note or send a card or as
an enclosure with a gift. They are like highly decorated rawhide envelopes! "These
beautiful hand painted bags are reproductions made by a US artist in somewhat
the style of a miniature Apache parfleche. (A parfleche is a much larger bag made
of rawhide and used to carry dried meat and pemmican.) These bags are made from
rawhide and have split deerskin fringe, ties, and straps. Some straps are long
enough to wear around the neck, others are for attaching to regalia. Brass and
glass trade beads. "We only have one
of each bag pictured - it will sell to the first person who sends payment."
