Words from Apache artist Cynthia Whitehawk: MEDICINE BAG: Medicine bags are ancient personal empowerment tools. Spiritually representing the wearer, they contain that which is most Spiritually significant and healing to the individual to help guide and protect one on their journey. This might include collected Spirit objects or totems, a small feather, beads, horse hair, healing gemstones and crystals, seeds, photos and more. Those items that are important to the wearer protect, grounds them to our Mother Earth and the Creator, and brings them strength and healing. MY MISSION: We are thankful and honored to be able to respect the Spirits of the plants, animals and Mother Earths elements who give themselves and continue their life as healing tools for us. We offer these tools for Spiritual expression, to be in balance with Mother Earth and one's self. BUFFALO MEDICINE: Buffalo represents prophesy and fulfillment of powers. Buffalo also represents the perseverence and ability to rise above one's weaknesses. Buffalo teaches that everything exists in abundance if it is respected and accepted with gratitude. AMETHYST: Amethyst is the most highly prized purple variety of quartz and is the official birthstone for February. The name comes from the Greek word amethystos, meaning "not drunken," because in ancient Greece amethyst was believed to protect the wearer from drunkenness. Read about stones | |||||||||||||||
