As a daily supplement, feed 2 ounces daily as a dietary source of fiber

Cherry says:

"Most horses will eat the psyllium flake powder dry or mixed with other feed. If you horse lets it sift to the bottom of his feed dish, you can help it "stick" by adding a little oil (I like to use corn) to the grain portion of his ration and mixing that up. Then sprinkle the psyllium on the grain and lightly toss - then feed immediately.

"To dispense the corn oil I use a large 40 or 50 oz. ketchup bottle that has a pump on top. Keep your eye on the large ketchup bottles in your grocery store. Sometimes they will come with a pump taped to the side of the bottle, other times there will be an offer for you to send $1 for a pump to fit the bottle. It is a handy way to serve up a measure of oil without mess."
