Paula says - "When we buy estate or personal jewelry lots, we often receive rings that are not Native American made and they may or may not be sterling silver. Here is one of those rings, a sterling Scarab with symbols stamped on the inside."
Scarabs are a diverse family of beetle found in every part of the world except in the oceans and on Antarctica. There are about 30,000 scarab species comprising about 10 percent of all known beetles. In ancient Egypt the scarab was the most popular design used in jewelry and was seen as a symbol of rebirth or regeneration and as the embodiment of the sun god Khepri.
