Hand made Native American Indian Jewelry; Navajo Sterling Silver Navajo bracelet

According to Hallmarks of the Southwest
by Barton Wright, the name "Emerson" in script as we have indicated is the hallmark of Navajo artist Emerson Billy (also known as Emerson Bill) from the Crownpoint, New Mexico region.

This particular stamp was first used in 1980.

What is repousse ?

A method of embossing metal by stamping and hammering a design from the back, then polishing the front producing a three-dimensional bas-relief surface.
