The handles of this stainless steel Schrade knife are inlaid with colobolo wood, spiderweb turquoise and lapis.

Inlay artist	Doris Yazzie is a registered member of the Navajo tribe from the Monument Valley area of Northeastern Arizona. Doris was raised in Fort Defiance, AZ and currently resides in Phoenix, AZ. Doris has been creating inlaid knives and other items since 1989. She operates under the registered trade name of DY Navajo Knife Works.

Block inlay is comprised of epoxy, dye, and crushed stone. Block is often more consistent in color, pattern and hardness than natural stone and is more suitable for applications such as inlay knife handles that may be subject to abrasion and moisture. The name of the inlay reflects what the block looks like, not what the inlay is made of.
