If you want this ring resized but your local jeweler is not familiar with Native American jewelry, we can recommend an excellent shop that we use for all of our jewelry repairs. After purchase from us, you can send the ring to them to be made larger or smaller. - Paula

Paula says - "These beautiful sugilite stones are deep blue with white swirls. Sugilite is often confused with charoite, another blue or purple stone. Impeccable craftmanship by award winning Navajo artist Peterson Johnson." Bracelet can be adjusted from 6 1/2" to 7". | ||||||||||||||||||
Peterson is known among fellow artists as "the machine" because he is SO meticulous in every detail of his work. The box clasps on his bracelet watches, for example, are finely tuned works of art. All of his jewelry is crafted with skill and precision to last a lifetime and be passed along to many generations. Peterson and his wife Alyce live in Gallup, New Mexico and travel to art fairs and pow wows year round throughout the USA displaying Peterson's silver work and Alyce's beadwork. Sugilite - An opaque stone with a waxy luster ranging in color from pale grayish lavender to deep purple, sometimes with black matrix, reddish brown or yellowish blotches. Sugilite was discovered in Japan in 1944 by geologist Ken-ichi Sugi, from which it gets it name. It is also known under the trade names of "Royal Lavulite" and "Royal Azel". It is also found in South Africa, India and Canada. Sugilite is sometimes confused with charoite. Read about stones |
