Vintage Beaded Medicine Bag HK
Item #CC04 - $150 plus
s/h | ||||
Paula says: "This medicine bag came from a collection of a man who collected Comanche beadwork. We don't know the original purpose of this narrow bag. There is something stiff inside - it is tied closed and we did not open it to see what it is. The bag shows signs of being Native American made but since we have no documentation with the bag we are selling it as a vintage beaded bag." One of the top leather laces is broken and the ends tied together. The top laces go through to the front to secure the bag closed. | |||||
The jewelry and artifacts in this collection were gathered by a man born in 1933 and who has been collecting for over 60 years. He has a great love of Native American people, their culture and customs and their art. Living and working most of his life in Texas, he has been particularly drawn to Lakota, Comanche, Apache, Pueblo, Navajo and Zuni pieces. We will be listing items from his collection over the next year, so keep an eye on the Newly Listed Items page. |
