About Maybelle KelewoodMaybelle Kelewood is a Navajo artisan from Arizona known for her distinctive jewelry, especially duck fetish necklaces. She uses cowrie shells as the body of the duck figures and incorporates materials such as turquoise, mother of pearl, pipestone, coral, and jet to add color and detail. Maybelle Kelewood holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and is on the Board of Directors for the Navajo Health Foundation's Sage Memorial Hospital in Kinlichee, Arizona. |
