What is Corn Maiden?

Corn Maiden is a goddess-like being who brings the gift of harvest and ensures prosperity for the community. The presence of the Corn Maiden in rituals and carvings symbolizes abundance and harmony with nature. Corn Maiden fetishes are crafted from antler, bone and stones like turquoise, jet, serpentine, and alabaster. Details such as rows of corn kernels, shawls, and traditional hairstyles, reflect Corn Maiden's nurturing role and connection to agricultural cycles.Owning a Corn Maiden fetish carving is believed to bring spiritual guidance, inner strength, and protection.

What is Antler?

Antler is a hornlike, bony growth, usually branched, that grows in pairs on the head of a deer, moose, elk, caribou, or other members of the deer family. Antlers occur on the heads of male deer and on some related species of either sex. Because of antler's rich brown colors and ease of carving, it is a preferred medium of many carvers. Antlers are a renewable resource, as they are shed each year and grow more branches each season as the animal ages.
